Sweatshirt/Legging Repeat
Earlier this week I showed off my favorite fabulous metallic sweatshirt all dressed up for brunch.
Today, I’m dressing it down.
I love how the this bag adds a pop of color, and dresses up the outfit for a sneaky fabulous look for my weekly coffee date with Big Sug.
Saturdays are meant for comfort. They are coincidentally the best day ever.

Sparkly for Brunch
If I’m going to be up and dressed for an 11am brunch, you can bet I’m going to load up on the sparkle.
This look is actually comprised mostly of pieces I already own. This metallic J Crew sweatshirt was a gift from one of my favorite people ever.

Day to Night
I was super excited when I ordered this top from Rent the Runway, because I thought it would be perfect for work.
I got a little wild and wore black pants and a blue blazer. High school LG would be pretty upset with me. Grown up LG loves how the shirt ties it all together.
Later that day I went to an improv show to see my husband perform. He’s basically the funniest man on Earth.
I loved the look of the semi-dressy top with distressed jeans and sandals.
Anything with a dual purpose is good in my book! Like chopsticks: perfect skewers for hot dogs if you’re avoiding carbs. The more you know.

Monthly visitors I actually want
Recently, I decided to start trying a few subscription services. I realized that part of the beauty to being a Rentanista is never leaving the house. I use Amazon Prime for about 90% of my shopping, my produce is delivered bi-weekly from Washington’s Green Grocer (tell ’em I sent you), and I try to avoid Costco like the plague (but can’t stay away from the prices). I figured there must be more I can do to set myself up for to watch Pretty Little Liars on Netflix all weekend.
Enter Good Mouth.
Good Mouth is a service that donates a toothbrush to someone in need every time you have a toothbrush delivered. It costs $3.50, I get a new toothbrush monthly, and I never have to think about buying one.
I also love beauty products, but have an aversion to buying them. The options are too vast, I have no idea what I want (actually, I want everything), and I just get overwhelmed trying to decide. Even with samples (seriously, Sephora! I have no idea which samples I want with my order!!! STOP ASKING!!!). Instead, I decided to let someone decide for me (look at me delegating). I signed up for two services: BoxyCharm and Birchbox. I’ve done Birchbox before, and BoxyCharm sends full size items. That was the basic decision making process. The more thought through process involved looking at about 50 different services and landing on these two.
BoxyCharm arrived first, so that’s what we’ll look at.
The packaging literally looks like a present.
So, obviously, I ripped it open.
I loved all of the items!
I’ve already used the face mask on a few times, and I love how luxurious it makes my skin feel. I’ve also used the highlighter and brush everyday in my make up routine. I love having an extra brush for my setting powder.
I haven’t used the serum or the nail polish yet. Though to be honest I rarely use hair serum, so it may be a minute before I have an opinion on that one.
This box was totally worth the $21 I paid. I cannot wait for my next present in the mail 🎁🎁🎁

The Kennedy Center and a Jumpsuit
We’ve all realized how obsessed I am with jumpsuits. It’s an addiction. I love looking put together, but I also hate having to pick out an outfit. I just feel like there’s so much that can go wrong. Half the time I’m living proof of what can go wrong.
My fabulous, super-cultured husband got us tickets to the Kennedy Center, and I thought, “What a perfect excuse to wear this jumpsuit for the third day in a row!” Don’t worry, the night before was styled much differently with heavier make-up and a red wig. Yes. If you hadn’t already realized, I’m that girl. (If you just asked yourself, “do you mean the girl who wears the same outfit three days in a row, or the girl who wears a wig to a bar?” then you’re starting to understand me.)
I completed my look with this amazing Lulu Frost necklace from Rent the Runway and earrings and a bracelet from LeTote. I loved this outfit. A girl stopped me on the street and said, “If anyone tells you you don’t look good today, tell them they’re lying.” Mission accomplished.
